SELF TALK HAS POWER…
It’s late at night, and you’re mindlessly scrolling through Instagram. Image after image, you see impossibly fit bodies—six-packs, sculpted glutes, flawless physiques. Before you know it, self-doubt creeps in.
Sound familiar? You’re not alone.
There was a time when we could avoid unrealistic beauty standards by simply not buying certain magazines. Now? Social media bombards us with “perfect” bodies 24/7. While it’s not the sole cause of negative body image, it has amplified those feelings like never before.
So how do we shift our perspective?
1️⃣ Focus on what you appreciate about yourself. Every day, recognize one or two things you genuinely love about yourself—physically or otherwise. Small steps build real self-love.
2️⃣ Curate your feed intentionally. If a certain account makes you feel worse about yourself, unfollow it. Choose content that inspires rather than triggers comparison.
3️⃣ Change the conversation. Instead of commenting on someone’s appearance, highlight their kindness, humor, or passion. Beauty is more than just looks.
MORE LOVE. LESS HATE.
Let me leave you with a favorite quote from Gary Vaynerchuk:
“Don’t undermine yourself, especially when there are unfortunately so many others willing to do just that. Be your own biggest supporter.”
Take this as your sign to tune out the noise and focus on you.
Stay strong,
